We are a vintage guitar business focusing on concierge, broker, appraisal, advisor, and asset management services for our clients. We go above and beyond to connect our buyers and sellers with pre World War II acoustic guitars as well as pre 1970 Fender and Gibson guitars and amplifiers.
We have sold some of the best, rarest, and most historically important guitars in the world. Our clients include studio musicians, professional songwriters, recording studios, collectors, celebrities, music professors, professional road musicians, and many folks who love to play guitar in their living room. We’ve shipped guitars to 42 states and 24 countries. Our inventory is always filled with amazing guitars, and always fairly priced.

This is our full time job, and we LOVE talking to customers. Never hesitate to call or email us. We promise that you will ALWAYS be treated like a person when interacting with us. That’s right, we treat people like human beings and not numbers or transactions or cash. When you call Dying Breed, you will always speak to the owner, and I will always have time to talk to you.

About Lane Comeaux, Owner
I graduated with a masters degree from the University of Southern California in communications and management. A program that is ranked number one in the world in media and communications studies. I also graduated from a private top 75 University with two degrees, one in public relations and one in advertising. The point is not necessarily the intellect but the discipline, consistency, grit, sacrifice, hard work, competitiveness, and integrity that were necessary to complete these credentials.

I’ve also been a guitar player for exactly 25 years. I’m a player first but also relate to you as an investor and collector. At eleven years old I became enthralled with the guitar. And a voracious reader of serious guitar books and had a plethora of them (along with magazines) canvassing the house. Each year I literally wore out to the point of falling apart- 2-3 copies of the big Fender Frontline catalogue. I understand your passion because I have it too.

Dying Breed Guitars aims to be the quintessential broker, advisor, concierge, and expert regarding buying and selling pre World War II acoustic and pre 1965 American electric guitars. We seek to utilize the highest level service, marketing acumen, work and personal ethics to ensure our curated customers are ecstatic not only with their purchases but also with Dying Breed Guitars. We will always hold ourselves to the highest standards of humility, respect, courtesy, and transparency. Simply we will go to any lengths to be fair and honest to all sides and treat all involved in our business as human beings and not transactions. In doing so we will become the premier provider and confidant in the premium vintage guitar space.

We have more than 215,000 views each week on our website. Which of course is more than 800,000 per month and actually more than 10 million visitors per year! We have more followers on Facebook than any exclusively vintage dealer in America. We pride ourselves on playing the online game as well as anyone. As a guitar owner and consigner what that means for you is a consistent audience of actual buyers- studio musicians, rock stars, investors, studio owners, songwriters, museums, historians, and more. We have cultivated this over 11 years and no one works harder at it. While working here I took two years of full time study at the University of Southern California to earn a masters degree in communications, marketing, and management from the number one ranked communications and media school in America. Again what this means for you- obviously I’m not the best at every facet of the vintage guitar world. But when it comes to the marketing aspect- I want no one to do it better. At Dying Breed Music you will always be treated with dignity, respect, courtesy, and humility. And you have my word- no one will work harder for all sides. Never hesitate to contact us through any medium.
