多くのパーツを高級オーディオグレードに換装し、ローノイズでファットなサウンドを実現したSD-1です!
左側のDual Modeスイッチで、クリッピング・ダイオードをゲルマニウム(UP)かシリコン(Down/ノーマル)に切り替えます。ゲルマ・モードはコンプレッションが軽減され、音抜けの良い厚みのあるオーバードライブが得られます。シリコン・モードはノーマルですが、ノーマルSD-1と比較するとずっとクリーミーな質感でした。そして右側のDeep Bottom Boostスイッチによりボトムを強力にブーストでき、まるで別物のような重たいサウンドがつくれます。オペアンプICは高級なバー・ブラウン社のOPA2134PAに交換。ウィードの特徴でもあるグリーンの高輝度クリプトンライトを採用しています。国内外の市場でもほぼ見かけられなくなってしまった名モディファイモデルです。シリアル番号#090がマジック表記の時代の貴重な個体です。
