The high-end model 816ce is characterized by its Grand Symphony body shape and Florentine cutaway.
The sunburst finish, which is rarely distributed among Taylor guitars, has a tighter and sleeker impression than the usual natural finish.

Naturally, the body is constructed entirely of veneer, and the combination of spruce and rosewood allows the player to enjoy the rich low end.
There is very little difference in sound between the live sound and the pickups, so it is no wonder that professional musicians love this instrument.
