2017 Santa Cruz 000-12 Fret Sitka, Rosewood Natural, Near Mint, Original Hard
Offered is this superb Santa Cruz 000-12 Fret made in 2017. I had another Santa Cruz 000-12 in stock for a short time recently and was so impressed that I went out and bought this beauty for our inventory.
The SCGC 000-12 Fret is a slightly elongated OM-sized body. This guitar has a select Sitka Spruce top with back and sides made of straight grained East Indian Rosewood. The top utilizes scalloped bracing. This example has an upgraded Abalone-trimmed rosette along with it's standard herringbone purfling and zipper style backstrip. The It has a string scale of 25.375" and of course the neck joins the body at the 12th. The Mahogany neck has a very soft V shape with depth measurements of .85" at the 1st fret increasing to .98" at the 9th on this one. It has a lovely Ebony fretboard which is bound in ivoroid with Abalone diamond and square inlays and a 1.75" bone nut. The headstock is also bound in ivoroid, with an Ebony overlay and SCGC MOP inlay. It has a classic Ebony belly bridge with 2-3/16" string spacing. The tuners are nickel Waverlys with ivoroid buttons. This is a very classy, but understated 000 to my eye!
I'm a big fan of the tone of a well-made 12-fret and this guitar delivers big time. The voice of this guitar is full and well-balanced and there is something about the geometry of a 12-fret that just works well for many players. The neck on this guitar feels nice and sleek and it is very easy to play. It is setup perfectly, with 9th fret sting heights of 6/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high E side. This guitar was purchased from another dealer and has never been retailed. It is in near mint condition, with just a few very light scuffs on the pickguard to distinguish it from new. The frets are flawless. It comes in it's original SCGC / Ameritage case, also in as new condition.
A new example of this model would cost you nearly $6K but this lovely piece can be had for quite a bit less. If you've been considering the purchase of an 000-12 fret instrument, I highly recommend this marvelous and near new Santa Cruz!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
