Description

1931 OM-18. Small pickguard banjo tuner OM-18s were made starting in 1930 and stopped midway through 1931. In 1930 89 were made, in 1931 only 251 OM-18s in the entirety of the year were made. This one has the original tuners and pickguard. We've had several of these but each one did not possess original tuners. I've heard multiple professional players say they believe the early OM-18s were the best guitar Martin ever made. This one has all original finish and bridge plate. There are a few well repaired cracks but no cracks in the head stock or heel. The bracing is original under the Adirondack top. This fine instrument has had a fresh neck reset as well a new bridge installed. The original bridge will be included in the case! Remember at Dying Breed Music- Only the Best Will Do! If you're a fan of 30s Martin and want an extremely rare one that many consider the pinnacle of small body guitars- get this one before it is gone! 25,000 dollars.
