You can’t stop looking at all the details. 12 frets to the body with a slotted headstock, Adirondack top (now aged over 19 years) and “Golden Era” 1/4” scalloped braces give you a pre-war tone with a bigger bass than the same guitar with 14 frets, plus some luxurious sustain so you work less letting the stiffer spruce feel your every nuance and aggression when you play. Style 45 is top of the line with pearl trim everywhere. Also, Style 45 Martins get the choice woods that are set aside for these models. Solid East Indian rosewood, mahogany neck block and neck carved to a modified V, the nut is fossilized ivory, 25.4” scale, grained ivoroid binding, ebony fingerboard and bridge with fossilized compensated ivory saddle, and finally Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons. This guitar is appointed like a pre-war Martin with graduated snowflakes and diamond inlays, a vertical C.F. Martin abalone headstock logo, and a thin pyramid bridge. The headstock is triple-bound in ivoroid, deluxe multicolored back stripe, and beautiful abalone trim everywhere. No… Every. Where. And the look is enhanced by the vintage toner lacquer finish. Classical nut width at 1 & 13/16”, string spacing is 2 & 5/16” so you have room to use your fingerpicks. It has a K&K pickup installed. Its condition is excellent, with one a few dings and finish scuffs.
