Description

I've said it before and I will say it again; Johan Gustavsson of Sweden makes some of the finest electric guitars currently being built anywhere on planet Earth. Each of his guitars that we have had in our inventory has been a masterpiece. Johan somehow manages to bestow his instruments with a tone, look and feel that is reminiscent of a well preserved 50's vintage classic of the Fender or Gibson variety. Along with these desirable vintage qualities, however, you also get modern specs, a build quality that is beyond reproach and playability that few real vintage electrics can match. Offered here is a Gustavsson Fullerblaster, Johan's interpretation of the classic Tele. This guitar is made even more special by it's Korina body wood and it's neck humbucker pickup.

This fabulous guitar's specs include: a solid Korina body with comfort contours; a moderately distressed black nitrocellulose finish; a total guitar weight of just 7.8 pounds; a 25.5" scale Maple neck with a '59 C shape and depth measurements of .874" at the 1st fret and .960" at the 12th; a gorgeous and very dark Amazon Rosewood fretboard, with 9.5"-12" compound radius, 1.6875" bone nut and medium frets; a vintage style Tele bridge and saddles; and for electronics, a ThroBak humbucker in the neck position and a Wolfetone Tele-style single coil in the bridge with a modern Tele wiring and reversed controls.

While loosely based on a Tele, this guitar is so much more. Johan's construction methodologies and pickup selection give this guitar a decidedly Gibson-like feel and a much more complex tone than you might expect. Even as compared to the Fullerblasters we've sold previously, the Korina body and the pickups give this a voice that is to die for! Please check out the brief sound sample provided and I hope you will be able to hear the almost Les Paul-like tones you can get to go with your Tele twang. This guitar can do almost anything you need it to do! As with each of the Gustavsson guitars I've been lucky enough to try, the build quality and playability of this instrument is among the best money can buy.

Other than the light distressing that Johan gave it at the factory, this guitar shows little sign of play, frets included. It comes in a premium Gustavsson/G&G vintage style hardshell case, also in near mint condition, along with Johan's hand-written certificate of authenticity.

I'm told the waiting list for a newly ordered Gustavsson is two years or more. Get this gorgeous Fullerblaster today. It is lively, resonant and just an amazing instrument to play, hear and behold!
