2021 Johan Gustavsson Bluesmaster S Dirty Lemon
Johan Gustavsson of Sweden makes some of the finest electric guitars currently being built by anyone and the Bluesmaster S offered here is an example of his genius. If you love the tone of a Collings I-35 or ES-335, then you will adore the sound of this instrument. If you love the thick tone of a Les Paul, but can't deal with the weight, you are also likely to adore this guitar.
The Bluesmaster S is Yohan's version of a semi-hollow Les Paul-style guitar. Like an LP, it has a Mahogany back and a flame Maple top. It is a very light instrument and this example weighs just 6.8 pounds. This guitar is finished in Dirty Lemon nitrocellulose lacquer with creme colored Royalite binding. The Mahogany neck has a long joint tenon and the shape feels like it came right off of a '59 LP with depth measurements of .890" at the first fret increasing to .990" at the twelfth fret. The truss rod is a dual action compression unit with no sheathing. The fretboard is made of dark Brazilian Rosewood and has a 12" radius, medium frets and a 1.675" bone nut. The tuners are Kluson Deluxe Keystones and the bridge is a intonateable wrap-around unit by Gustavsson. The electronics include fabulous Throbaks humbuckers with aged covers, volume and tone controls for each pickup and a three-way toggle switch.
This guitar sounds incredible to my ear and it plays even better. Very few guitars approach the build quality, feel and tone of a Gustavsson instrument and I would argue that his semi-hollow guitars are even better than his incredible solid body models. Built in 2021 and remains in terrific condition with only light evidence of play wear. The frets show no observable wear. It comes in its original JG branded G&G case with the certificate of authenticity and all the other original accessories.
I can't imagine a better instrument for the player who can't decide between an LP or a 335-style instrument, or someone who is simply looking for one of the finest semi-hollow instruments available on planet Earth. An amazing instrument for the player who requires the very best.....

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included.
