1987 Ibanez Maxxas M3 Cranberry Red
If you want to get me jumping up and down about a guitar, then give me an '80s version with a lightning-fast and thin neck. Think of those old Yamaha Pacificas- those necks were so thin and greasy quick, you almost couldn't hold onto them once you got going and that's where this M3 comes in. The neck profile on this guitar is whisper-thin and if a bumbling bass player like me can convincingly coax some cool, two-fingered power chords out of it, then I can only imagine what an accomplished guitar player could do.
This M3 is exceptionally clean and the only imperfections I can find is by pulling out my vintage L.E.O. Electron Microscope to see the few incredibly light pick swirls below the high "E" string. Man, you'll have to really, really look for them and I'm being picky. The color and build are gorgeous and I have a sneaking suspicion that this one has sat in its case for quite some time. Speaking of cases, this package includes the original case with the MAXXAS logo- ain't that a strawberry on top of the cake?
We have detailed the guitar, restrung it with a fresh set of 9's and given it a top-notch setup courtesy of our tech extraordinaire, "El Jefe." Truth be told, he wanted this one for himself. Items must be returned within 24 hours (of notification of intent to return) in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described.
