1924 Gibson Style A Mandolin Snakehead with Truss Rod Black
Here's a 1924 Gibson Style A Mandolin in Black finish. All original example from the Lloyd Loar era! No breaks, cracks, repairs. Serial #79994. This is a rare snakehead head example, with a truss rod. Adjustable Ebony bridge, Ebony fingerboard, pearl dots on fingerboard, dark stained birch back and sides with spruce top, snakehead peghead with "The Gibson" logo stenciled at top, keel shaped neck made of Honduran mahogany with a truss rod, and "The Gibson" stamped on tailpiece cover.
