The Gibson Starburst Standard has a unique cutaway mini-Jumbo body and lives up to its name with its distinctive star-shaped inlays. Not many acoustic guitars can claim the unmistakable tone of a solid maple top. There are certainly few as beautiful and as captivating as the AAA quilt maple top on this Starburst Elite Cutaway. This beauty is in near-mint condition, a testament to its quality, save for a few light scratches and checking.
The Gibson Starburst, a model produced from 1992 - 1994 in limited numbers in Bozeman, Montana, holds a significant place in guitar history. Ren Ferguson designed the Starburst to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Orville Gibson's first guitar, with this model built for players who desired amplification. Its unique wood choices were intended to reduce resonance and volume, thereby minimizing feedback.
This guitar features the rare Gibson factory AccuVoice active electronics, Piezo pickup system––a unique feature that sets it apart from other Starburst guitars (see photo). The system includes Volume, Frequency, Tone, Voice (Jazz/Pop), and a Bright button, allowing for a versatile range of sounds. It also features a 1/4" and rare XLR outputs, providing additional options for amplification.
