1946 Gold Script Gibson 1946 LG2 , beautiful full amber sunburst with Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge.
X braced ,original nut,frets and wartime open 3 on a side tuners with original butterbean tuning keys and truss rod equipped guitar. One small tight side crack ,top has some grain separation in several places but no light shows through upon inspection, the original bridge is lifting but the guitar shows no signs of belly or top sinkage the original bridge plate is still present in the guitar. The original frets have life in them and the neck has not been reset, I feel it would benefit the guitar but one is not needed at the present time.The guitars is playable strung up to tune and sounds ,dry,woody and open which is what one desires in one of the blues machines. No F.O.N. or serial number is readable on the neck block and a small "2" is impressed on the back of the headstock. Your chance to get a post war desirable Gibson acoustic at a reasonable price sold as is with you being able to get your trusted luthier to do ANY work that is deemed necessary. If you do not know a luthier I have several that I utilize and the work can be done at purchase before the guitar is shipped to you. The work I would recommend is a bridge reglue, neckset and personally I would like larger wider frets .
