These 1930’s L-30’s are classic vintage Gibson’s..pretty much the same V neck as on the same era L-00, and vintage Gibson craftsman ship, on guitars that probably fret better than a lot of new guitars. Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and original frets in good shape. FON # 689-11. If you can slide a low-profile pickup near the bridge on these, the sound really comes out. Most of these 14 ½” flat back L-30’s have cracks to the back and loose back braces from their structural design, and this one is the same. If you are a home luthier who works on guitars, these are a great deal. It’s hard to get a vintage 1930’s Gibson in the price range of these.

This one has some replaced parts, so it’s priced right. Replaced tuners and string ferrules. These tuners match up to the original screw holes. Replaced bridge that has been seated, but is not perfect. Original Tailpiece, and truss rod cover with single slot screws that are not original. Pickguard is absent. Neck is flat, as you want, Truss rod nut still has the original paint on it, looks like it has not been turned. Very nice example, except for the back cracks you always see on this model, and the three loose back braces that usually accompany them. One of the braces has a break near the kerfing. Back of neck shows slight wear behind the 1st fret, otherwise, super clean. Headstock and logo in great shape. Frets show some rutting down to the 12th fret. This one was played, but was taken very good care of. No case, but will be double boxed for shipping. Neck measures:

1.0065 1st Fret
1.0980 7th Fret

Nut 1.7905 Fretboard at the nut.
