Gibson 2023 Keb’ Mo’ 3.0 12 Fret J-45
Signature model of blues singer/guitarist Keb' Mo', "Keb' Mo' "3.0" 12-Fret. J-45".
This is the third signature model, following the Bluesmaster released in 2010 and the Royale released in 2016, and is based on a round-shoulder body J-45, as opposed to the previous small-body models.
The specs are unique to the signature model and differ from the regular (current) model in the following ways.
- 25-inch scale neck (normally 24.75)
- 12-fret joint and associated sound hole position.
- Nut width: approx. 45.8 mm (wider than usual)
- Thinner body thickness at the body end.
- Crown inlays.
- Down belly
The top Sitka Spruce has been "thermally aged" to reproduce the characteristics of its age, with scalloped X-bracing and a soft V-style "Keb' Mo' Neck" neck shape.
The tuner bushings have been replaced.
The pickup is equipped with LR Baggs VTC as standard.
There are a few linear paint reaction marks on the body back, a tiny dent on the lower right-hand side of the bridge, several pockmarks and shallow scuffs on the body back, and a few tiny dents and scuffs on the head.
The frets are a little worn on the plain strings, but there is about 80-90% remaining overall, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.
