Description

The miracle combination of scalloped X-bracing and a large pickguard.

Gibson / 1955 J-45

Aged for about 70 years, this guitar has an overwhelming presence.

The small pickguard of the early 1950s was replaced by a large one in the mid-1950s, and an adjustable bridge was adopted in later years.

Among them, the combination of scalloped X bracing and large pickguard is said to exist only in 1955.
The unique rough and full tone of this configuration makes this a must-try for those who want a J-45 with a special tone that cannot be found anywhere else.

I can just imagine the scene where you are on the road and someone says to you, "What's that cool guitar? I can imagine a scene where someone says, "What's that cool guitar? I can't help but admire this guitar if I can deliver its special story and tone at that time.

When I think about it, I am very envious of those who were born in 1955.
I am very envious of those who were born in 1955, because so many wonderful instruments were being made in the year of their birth.
In the history of the many J-45s, only 1432 were made in 1955.
How many of them are still in existence?
This rare vintage J-45 will surely be your partner for a lifetime.

The condition of the neck and wood has been inspected and adjusted by an acoustic guitar specialist and is in excellent condition in all areas. The neck has been straightened and tuned with no chatter or jamming, and the strings are set at the 12th fret at an optimal height of 2.5mm on the 6th string and 2.0mm on the 1st string.

There are no cracks on this piece, and the original painted pickguard remains clean with no history of repairs to the surrounding area.
It is a miracle that this is one of the 1432 J-45s that were produced at the time, with no cracks and the original pickguard still in place, 70 years after its manufacture. There are not enough J-45s in circulation to choose from, so to be able to select one in this condition is an opportunity.

Some may be surprised at the price.
However, the fact that it has been played for over 60 years in a variety of music and styles, and still retains its wonderful tone and condition, is a real bonus.
It has the value and sound that will make it a lifelong partner.
