Beautiful 2010 Gibson Custom Shop ES-359 with real ebony fretboard. 2010 is supposed to be the last year Gibson used ebony on their fretboards before switching to Richlite.
This has the nicest flame I have seen on one of these. Most of the flame on these ES-359’s is poorly defined and washed out – this flame has strong definition and nice fingering or forking, with great color.
I bought this as soon as I saw it because of the flame on this one.
The headstock logo is also crisp and shows no signs of delaminating, as a lot of these Gibson Custom Shop guitars do.
I put different pickups in it, but the original ’57 Classics are back in it, dated 8/2/10. 7 lbs 3 oz.
Guitar is really clean and spent most of it’s life in it’s case. Frets show only the slightest indentation on the B string 1st fret. Back shows a couple small scratches, but very minor, this is a nice example.
