1963 Gibson ES-335 Blonde/Natural

How do you value a guitar that is one of only two of its kind? Blonde 335's were available from 1958 to 1960. After 1960, they could be ordered special which explains why there are so few. I've seen a lot of 335's over the twenty years I've been dealing and specializing in them. I know of only two blonde block neck ES-335's shipped during the "Golden Era" of 1958-1964. This one and a 1964 lefty. There is a Bigsby 65 with a Varitone on the market right now, priced at $50,000. That valuation prices the 65 at around three to three and a half times the price of a sunburst or red 65 Bigsby. If I price this 63 at three and a half times the equivalent 63 (stop tail), it falls somewhere around $100,000. It is all original. It shows some wear at the arm area and some rash on the back but is in overall very good condition-let's call it 8+/10. The neck is medium slim with the usual 1 11/16" nut. Both pickups are early patent number (same as late PAF) and both are factory sealed. Case is black with yellow Lifton. More photos coming soon. It sounds wonderful and plays great. Cool heel stinger.
