Description

Here's how you can get yourself into a great sounding, great playing dot neck for less than that 64 you have your eye on. This 61 has a few issues that keep it from being collector grade but its miles above the usually player grade. It's just priced like one. Issues? 61's have a tendency to develop a stress crack from the truss rod from the 1st or 2nd to the 5th fret. It doesn't affect anything and it doesn't weaken the neck in any way. You could leave it for the next 30 years and it would never move unless you over tighten the truss rod. This one has been perfectly repaired-you wouldn't notice it if I didn't disclose it. Two other small issues-tuners re-tipped with single ring tips-should be double but who cares. You can change them if you want. This guitar came to me with a Bigsby bridge (you can see some scuff marks from it on the top). I changed it to a repro no wire ABR-1. Early black Lifton case is original.
