Description

Gibson / 1947 J-50

Originally introduced in 1942, the J-50 (model name J-45) was positioned as a natural version of Gibson's J-45. Production was temporarily halted due to material shortages during World War II, but was added back to the production line in 1947.
Because the natural finish allowed all sides of the top spruce to be visible, the spruce used on the J-50 was a more expensive material than that used on the J-45.
Musicians who have used this model include George Harrison/James Taylor/Bob Dylan/Sheryl Crow/Lightnin' Hopkins/Alex Turner/James Hetfield/Kaneko Ayano/Masaharu Fukuyama (titles omitted), and many musicians throughout the ages have loved it. The model has been loved by many musicians over the years.

The model introduced here is a reissue model from 1947, the first year of reproduction.
The script logo, thick adylon-like spruce top material, and long saddle with a rectangular bridge indicate that this is a serious reissue.

It is also stunning in terms of sound.
The year of manufacture on this guitar is 2016, but it is hard to believe that it was manufactured in recent years.
The bracing is also scalloped with thin and tall wood, which gives the sound an openness and a powerful sound that makes the entire body tremble loudly.
Of course, it is still fresh, but if you change to bronze strings or play it more, it is a nice instrument with the potential to be very close to the old one.

There are many other 1947 reissues, but there are very few that have been reproduced as seriously as this one.
If you listen to the sound, you will definitely be convinced by this one. Please take this opportunity to try it.
