Gibson Custom Shop 2018 Historic Collection 1958 Les Paul Heavy Aged Hand Selected

The top is "Hand Selected", carefully selected by the dealer, and the maple has been deliberately chosen for its subtle grain, typical of the '58 model.

The Vintage Cherry Sunburst coloring is exquisite, and the heavy aged finish reproduces the peeling paint on the body back and elbow, and the weatherchecks all over the body.

The body design and plastic parts are taken from the True Historic line, and new specs for the 2018 Historic Collection include a truss rod cover with a refined shape, slimmer frets resized to vintage-like sizes, body top and back hide gluing, and a slightly thinner neck grip than before.

The pickups are equipped with two Custombuckers.

The tuners have been replaced with aged gold Grovers (made in the 1970s, no PAT PEND. stamp).
(There is no additional screw hole modification, and the original tuners are included).

There is some reddish fading and uneven coloring on the back of the body and neck.

The frets are a little worn on the plain string section, but overall there is about 80-90% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.

A Gibson Custom Shop soft case is also included, but there is an extra shipping charge for mail order.
