Based on the amount of R9's I play at my shop monthly this is the one that has "The Magic"
If you are old enough to remember the days when you could find these in pawn shops for $500.00 it was the neck that made the R9 sought after. Gibson unfortunately puts the 58 Base Ball Bat Neck on many R9's then they sell the Sizzle of the elaborate Top. There are 59's with large necks, but "The Magic" is in the Soft Shoulder this has.
It also has a gorgeous Top and the Custom Humbuckers are some of the best sounding pickups I have played on in over half a century.

The instrument has low hours of use and shows a ding by the pickup selector that isn't noticeable from more than 2 feet away. There is also a finish chip on the back upper bout that isn't noticeable unless you look for it in light. The instrument is all original without repairs, alterations or modifications.

Poor condition gear may not work properly but can still perform most functions.
