Gibson / 1968 B-25N

The small body series such as LG and B appeared as the L series in the late 1920s as a precursor to Gibson's flat-top series.
In Japan, well-known artists such as Tamio Okuda, Sugashicao, Gen Hoshino, and Hanana Uemura have used the B-25, and it has a different appeal from the J-45 and J-50.

The wood specs are the same as those of Gibson's traditional acoustic guitars: spruce top and mahogany body.
The crisp mid-range image familiar to listeners of the J-45/J-50 in sound is the same impression.
The body size is about 2 inches smaller than the round shoulders of J-45s and other guitars, and its character is heard more prominently.

It responds well to the player's playing and shows its true value in strong picking such as stirring strokes and cutting.
Even when played strongly, the B-25 does not produce an extra low midrange, so it does not interfere with vocals, and even when mixed with an ensemble, it does not overlap with the bandwidth of the bass guitar. If you ask me, "Which acoustic guitar do you recommend for playing with a band?
You can enjoy a colorful sound even in fingerstyle, and you can play it comfortably as a guitar to play with your fingernails.

This guitar still has about 2/3 of the Gibson logo on the pickguard that can be seen on 1968 guitars. The paint has weather check all over the body, and you can fully enjoy the cool vintage guitar look.
The paint film is thin, so you can feel the whole wood vibrating and the body ringing.

The sound is characterized by the lightness typical of B-25s of this age with a slightly wet component.
The saddle has been replaced with our original saddle made of cocobolo wood.
This replacement has a positive effect on the sound as well. The Cocobolo saddle is not at all like the rosewood saddle, which is lacking something, or the ceramic saddle, which has a tinny feel to it, and the sound is crisp and the delicious parts of the mid and high registers come forward.

Among the many B-25s available, this is our top pick.
