Description

It doesn’t get much cooler or much more earlier than this in a Gibson mandolin. Quite rare in this black-top version and being the top-grade A-4 model it also has not only the mother-of-pearl-inlaid real tortoise shell pickguard, it’s also got the ultra-fancy Handel tuners with pearl-and-wire inlaid buttons, so often pirated from these early instruments. It’s original in every respect with very little fret wear, no cracks or anything of the sort. There is a slight bow in the neck which should be attended to by a professional though the action is of a playable height. And the tone is warm and LOUD. Comes with its original fancier-than-usual chipboard case. Offered as is for $1195 w/ossc
