Description

Offered is this fabulous H-12C Deluxe from Froggy Bottom Guitars. This is a Grand Concert-sized, short scale (25"), 12-fret instrument with an optional cutaway. The top is Adirondack Red Spruce and the back and sides are made of lovely Brazilian Rosewood. The nut width is 1.75" and the string spacing is 2 3/16". While designed to be the perfect fingerstyle instrument, this guitar has the punch needed for flat picking as well.

Playing this instrument reminds me yet again why I love Froggy Bottom acoustics. There is magic in these guitars from Vermont! The short scale and 12-fret geometry puts the Ebony pyramid bridge right where it should be for playing ease, the best tonal palette and output, particularly from a guitar of this size. The optional cutaway gives you upper fret access while maintaining the benefits of the 12-fret design. It is setup with 12th fret string heights of 5/64" on the bass side and 4/64" on the treble side. The tone is articulate and rich, with a sound many say you can only get from a Froggy. Please check out the brief sound sample provided; that unique Froggy "chime" is evident.

This beauty was built in 2011 is in near mint condition, with just the slightest evidence of play and handling wear. The frets show no observable wear. It is apparent that the original owner of this guitar treated it with the utmost care. It comes with it's original AVS/TKL case in similarly nice condition.

To get this model with these specs would require you to commission a custom build at a cost of at least $15K and the accompanying wait time. Get this this lightly played beauty discounted by a third and without the wait. If you haven't played a Froggy, you are doing yourself a disservice. Besides being beautiful to play, hear and look at, this is also an heirloom-grade guitar. Make it yours.
