Description

Buying a vintage Telecaster is a little like buying an expensive sports car-lots of features based largely on the year of manufacture. White guard (late 54 or later) or black guard (52-54)? Want a V neck? Gotta be a 56 or 57. Flat pole pickup? 52-55 gets you that. Round string tree? Round switch tip? Vintage or modern wiring? You get it the idea. So, what do you get if you buy a 57? Soft V neck with plenty of depth, staggered pole pickup, maple board, single ply white guard, top hat switch tip and butterfly string tree. Condition is 8/10. The wiring has been updated to the modern version using the original harness so you actually have a usable neck pickup. It is reversible. This guitar weighs under 7 lbs. That's light, even for a Tele. It's a wonderful player that does everything a Telecaster is known for. Pickups read 6.95K bridge and 6.87K neck. Neck depth is .88" at the first fret and 1" at the 12th with virtually no shoulder (it's a V). Case is fair to good original tweed "knucklebuster".
