1964 STRATOCASTER Mod.
Pre-CBS modified Stratocaster, sold to CBS in January 1965. Leo Fender continued to support Fender as a consultant until his contract with CBS expired in 1970. This 1964 Stratocaster is a pre-CBS Stratocaster, and it is a Stratocaster that has retained Fender's strong will. It has a transition logo, a thick head, and a round board with the joint surface of the maple neck and rosewood fingerboard affixed along the fingerboard's curvature. The sound is a strat sound with the tenacity and strength of the early 60's. The 5-way switch has been replaced with a 5-way switch so you can enjoy a half-tone. The pickups have been replaced with Van Zandt pickups. Vintage Stratocaster has been getting more and more expensive in recent years, and it is too expensive to be used in the field. This vintage Stratocaster has a lot of modifications, but we want you to use this Stratocaster in the field.
