A 1975 Fender Precision Bass in classic olympic white with a maple fingerboard and black pickguard. This vintage bass plays well, sounds great, and at 8 pounds 12 ounces, it's a bit lighter than many of its mid-70s brethren.
The white finish has yellowed to creamy golden tones that only time and human handling can produce. The maple fingerboard has been refretted. There is a chip on the edge of the fingerboard at the second fret. Body has no finish checking, but has uniform, age-appropriate playing wear, some minor scratches and dings, and a few small through-the-finish nicks that just add to the vintage vibe. Original tuners, pickups, pickguard, and bridge. One pot has been replaced. Pickguard cover and bridge cover appear to be vintage-style replacements. Original tolex case in rough but operable condition.
All in all, this is a terrific bass. It not only looks the part, it sounds and plays just like you'd hope it would. You can own a true piece of Fender history that is waiting for its next owner to take it back on stage and add to that history.
