1956 Fender Precision Bass – Fullerton Red
How cool is this 1956 Fender Precision Bass in Fullerton Red?! This red shade was Fiesta’s predecessor, masterminded by and named after Fender’s George Fullerton. This shade is a bit deeper and richer than what Fiesta would become when it was launched on the color chart in 1961. This particular instrument was purposely built and painted for the NAMM show of that year. This bass also sports a very cool and original matching Fullerton Red thumb rest. It also received a Desert Sand undercoat, which you will see in areas around the body where the paint has been worn down to the wood. This special bass was clearly well-kept over the years, as it is still in great shape!
