Description

Every once in a blue moon, I'll get writer's block and cannot come up with a description other than "plays like butta" or "the pickups sound all jangly and sparkly." Such was the case with this Beck Strat and so, when all else failed, I went back to the source. I plugged in "Wired" and went to work cleaning and restringing this guitar. By the time I was through "Head For Backstage Pass," I was, as they say, in the mood. Now it was time to shoot some pictures...

There may be a gazillion Beck Strats on the market at any one time, so I'll throw this one into the ring with three words: condition and price. It's quite tidy and shows virtually no signs of playwear save a bit of light pick swirling on the pickguard. Trust me, you'll have to look hard for it. All it needed was a good wiping down, a bit of oil on the gorgeous and dark rosewood fretboard, a set of new strings and we were off to the races.

The neck is a nice medium "C" shape- not the fat ball bat like some of the early versions had, but not a slim '60s either. It's just a comfortable, middle-of-the-road shape. Good enough for government work at least. The Noiseless pickups do what they're told and if you will look over the pictures, you'll see a clean, original tweed case and some case candy.

So, I will push all my chips into the pot and go with this: $1600.00 with free shipping anywhere in the lower contiguous states. No muss, no fuss- the guitar will arrive professionally packed and ready to go when it hits the house. Please take a look at the photos, let us know if you have any questions and as always, thanks for stopping by!
