1964 Fender Jazz Bass Candy Apple Red

Very well played (for good reason) all original Pre CBS 1964 Fender Jazz Bass in Candy Apple Red w/ matching headstock. This bass plays and sounds fantastic and is on consignment from a lady who bought it (from Norm) to play in a band back in 1983. (I have a photo she provided from the 80’s/ early 90’s of her playing it)
The bass itself is all original and the neck had never been off before. The pots date to 21st and 22nd weeks of 1964 (third pot date is obscured by solder) and neck is a May of 64 neck stamp. Clay dots, Brazilian rosewood fretboard, mint pickguard and a fantastic feel and full, strong sound. Frets show some wear but have plenty of life left with no issues at all. Comes with non original hard case from the 80’s. Has straplocks installed but comes with original strap buttons. Will consider shipping but would strongly prefer local Los Angeles transaction.
