Fender Custom Shop 2023 Limited 1961 Bone Tone Stratocaster Super Heavy Relic
This is the "1961 Bone Tone Stratocaster Super Heavy Relic", a limited edition model from the Custom Shop Online Selection Session held in July 2023.
It is a reproduction of a 1961 Stratocaster with a slab laminated fingerboard and a Super Heavy Relic finish that boldly reproduces large paint chips, weather checks, tarnished metal parts on the back of the neck and body.
The neck grip is a thick 60 style Oval C shape, the fingerboard is made from dark shade AAA grade rosewood, 9.5R, and jumbo type frets are used.
There are three hand-wound "Master Design Bone Tone" pickups with "NG" signature, and the ”Strat 1/2 Blender" wiring allows blending of the neck pickup when the bridge pickup or bridge + middle pickup is selected.
The frets are only slightly worn in the low position, and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
