Fender Custom Shop 2021 1959 Stratocaster Heavy Relic
This is a "1959 Stratocaster Heavy Relic" model in Faded Aged Chocolate 3-Tone Sunburst.
It is a reproduction of a 1959 Stratocaster with a slab laminated fingerboard. The boldly stripped neck grip, body back paint, finely applied weather checks, body edge scratches, and tarnished metal parts have all been recreated with a bold, relic finish.
The neck is a "60 Style Oval C" shape, and the fingerboard is made from AAA grade rosewood with a 9.5R radius and jumbo type frets.
The pickups are hand-wound "Texas Special" pickups signed "VC" and "Vintage Mod. Wiring #2" with independent capacitor for the bridge position. (The bridge position has a shallow tone effect.)
There is almost no signs of wear, no fret wear, and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
