~1985 Fender Contemporry Stratocaster ST-551 Chartreuse
My research tells me that the model number for this guitar is ST-551. It was made in Japan in the mid-1980's. It features a Fender proprietary locking tremolo system and a Fender made humbucker. It appears to be all original(the fine tuners may be new). It is my belief that he face of the headstock was refinished at some point as there is a aded out Fender logo but it is not the correct one for this guitar. In any case the guitar plays and sounds great! It was just set up with 9 gauge strings. It shows only a hint of fret wear. It weighs 7lbs., 9oz. It ships in the period correct Fender hard shell case as shown.
