This is a real 1964 Fender Bassman Amp, with the highly sought after circuit. The Bassman circuit is famous because of the sounds of Pete Townsend, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, among others. Each player used these amps in the studio, and/or on stages around the world in the 60s. Play through it and you'll understand why. Though intended as a bass amp, many guitarists found it to be the perfect guitar amp. I have used it for both with great results. And of course it is dynamite as a guitar amp. This amp is a road warrior! The output The amp has a clean bill of health. The clean guitar sound is pure Fender. It is what Leo's amps are known for. When the amp is pushed it delivers awesome overdrive and distortion sounds unique to this amp. As recently as 2002, Townsend claimed it to be his favorite amp (along with Hiwatt, which he said has a Fender sound but much louder). Harrison also utilized this amp extensively through the late 60s with The Beatles, and beyond. Of all the Fender amps throughout Fender history, these are the most desirable.

Point to point hand wiring.
