1991 Epiphone Sheraton Antique Natural Made in Japan Terada Factory, Figured, Long Tenon Neck, MIJ, Pre-Elitist

Introducing a distinctively unique 1991 Epiphone Sheraton, meticulously crafted in Japan with a stunning, defined flame maple body. This guitar also features a long tenon, three-piece maple neck with a slender C-shaped profile, and a rich chocolate-brown Indian rosewood fretboard adorned with pearloid block inlays, creating a luxurious contrast that enhances its elegant appearance.

These Terada Factory-produced Sheratons, initially intended exclusively for the Japanese market, have garnered a stellar reputation as some of the finest Sheraton reissues ever made, often surpassing their contemporary counterparts. This particular example is no exception, displaying a level of craftsmanship that rivals, and sometimes even exceeds, its American-made counterparts.

Our 1991 Epiphone Sheraton is notable for its outstanding looks and excellent condition. Despite some surface marks and general play-wear, this guitar remains in fine form considering its age. Noteworthy blemishes include three indents on the front left face of the body and a small crack in the poly coat on the top rear of the neck. Both are purely cosmetic and have been pictured for reference. The guitar is otherwise structurally sound and perfectly functional, with no breaks or repairs.

The neck of this guitar maintains its exceptional cleanliness, offering a smooth, uninterrupted feel along its entire length. All 22 frets display minimal play-wear, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable playing experience.

The binding has developed a smoky hue, complementing the slightly tarnished gold hardware and giving the instrument a vintage elegance. The all-original onboard electronics work smoothly and seamlessly, and both stock Epiphone Japan pickups deliver great clarity and smooth sustain.

The Frequensator tailpiece has been expertly replaced with a stop-tailpiece, resulting in clean routing for both tailpiece studs and leaving the screw and grounding holes at the bottom strap button. This modification certainly enhances the guitar's sturdy, reliable playability.

This one weighs in at 8.2lbs.

It’s been expertly cleaned and setup by Ben of Beej Guitar Repairs with a fresh set of 10-46 strings

Included is an aftermarket hardcase.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and thanks for looking!
