2018 Collings 290 DC Crimson
Lots of builders offer their version of the iconic Gibson LP Junior, but nobody does it better than Collings in my opinion. Offered is this terrific and near mint Collings 290 DC completed in August, 2018.
Specs for this incredibly versatile instrument include: a solid Honduran Mahogany body with comfort contours; high gloss nitro lacquer Crimson finish; a total guitar weight of just 7lbs. 2 ounces; a marvelous medium-fat C-shaped Honduran Mahogany neck with a 24-7/8" string scale and depth measurements of .875" at the first fret and 1.00" at the twelfth fret; a nice dark Indian Rosewood fretboard with 12" radius, medium fret wire and a 1 11/16" bone nut; a Kluson ABR-1 bridge and stop tailpiece; Gotoh tuners with ivoroid buttons; and for electronics, dual Lollar P90 pickups, with LP style wiring, DiMarzio 500K pots, Jupiter caps and Switchcraft toggle and jack.
If you crank this baby she screams. Roll the volume back and she can be a warm jazz machine. Despite it's simple design, this guitar can do most anything and it's built and plays superbly, the Collings way.
This guitar is in near mint condition with virtually no flaws of any significance, just a bit of pick haze on the pickguard. The frets are in great condition too. It comes with it's original Ameritage case, also in like new condition, along with the original paperwork. Just a great all-around electric guitar, regardless of what kind of music you play. Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
