Offered is this awesome little Collings, an 02H MRG built in 2015 and in as new condition. At just 38" long and 13 7/16" wide at the lower bout, this diminutive instrument is small in size but big in it's output! This 14-fret guitar has a 24 7/8" string scale, a 1.75" nut width and 2 3/16" string spacing. The top is German Spruce, while the back and sides are lovely straight-grained Madagacar Rosewood. The neck shape is Collings 'Modified V', with depth measurements on this one of .84" at the 1st and .94" at the 12th.
The guitar's short scale makes it very easy to play and it's small body contributes to it's very responsive nature. It's an amazingly powerful little package with a full and balanced output. Please check out the brief sound sample provided. The German Spruce top is stiffer than Sitka, giving it a rich voice, and is more flexible than Adirondack, giving it better response to the player's touch. It is extremely comfortable to play and you will want to keep it close by your favorite chair.
This guitar is in virtually unplayed condition with virtually no sign of play. The lovely German top is very tightly grained and almost perfectly straight except for one "bearclaw" beauty mark under the finish in the lower bout (see photo). Please don't confuse this for wear or a ding as this little mark was left by Mother Nature. This little beauty of a guitar comes in it's original Collings/TKL case in similarly pristine condition.
A new example of this guitar with the Madagascar and German upgrades would cost nearly $6K, but you can have this as new 2015 example for a bunch less. An extremely nice small scale instrument with a surprisingly big sonic punch! Make this lovely little Collings yours!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
