OD-1 Over Drive (Silver Screw/JAPAN/NECμPC4741C)
NEC μPC4741C quad op-amp specification adopted following the first generation Raytheon 3403!
Quad op-amps (op-amps combining 4 op-amps) were installed in the circuitry of the early OD-1. The LED indicator was only for battery checker. The LED indicator is now ON/OFF at the same time. This unit was manufactured around the end of 1970s, when the op-amp was changed from imported Raytheon RC3403, which is said to have had some difficulty in quality stability, to a domestic NEC μPC4741C. The μPC4741C has a fat sound with rich low mids and moderate highs compared to the RC3403ADB. This is an individual with serial #8600.
